Past is the present

((a potential AU, just since the idea seemed so fun))

Who had caused it all to happen would probably never be discovered, but surely it cause both laughter and confusion for quite some time that day. Who would have had thought of coming up with a potion that would turn back time so greatly for the consumer? But there it was; all that consumed it seemed to be brought back 5 to 10 years in their age. And in a school filled with students this made quite a difference…
(One could ask how their memories and behavior would change to adapt to this.)

At the Gryffindor-table Freya was too hungry to notice that it suddenly seemed like her toast was growing in her hands, or if one was asking the ones surrounding her; how she was suddenly shrinking to the looks of a 5 year old. But it became painfully clear that she soon got the mind of one as well, when the first thing she did when looking up was to glare at the bowl of porridge in front of her and with a clear “No!” pushed it away from her, making is fall down on the other side of the table with a loud and wet crash…

At the Ravenclaw-table Claudia on the other hand was petting her cat and her eyes widened as she first thought someone had put a spell on poor Harlekin as he just seemed to grow impossibly large! But then she could only giggle, as the little child she was, and curiously study her now way too long sleeves. Why was she dressed like this? And where was nanny who was supposed to fix it? She looked around but could not see her anywhere… Just a huge lot of strangers, and that somewhat scared her
