We Need Better Lighting

There were certainly benefits to having access to the Huffplepuff dorms, especially its common room. With its entrance in the kitchen corridor, there was always the aroma of freshly baked goods wafting through the Hufflepuff Basement. The walls were enchanted to foster beautiful spreads of ivy to grow and act as decor in lieu of tapestries, and no other furniture in all of Hogwarts could be more comfortable. There was always a source of natural light in the room, from small cellar windows located high on the walls.
The only problem was that the sunlight could only reach so far into the common room, and not all days were sunny. The large singular fireplace between the doors to the gender-segregated dormitories, no matter how well-lit, just wasn't enough to solve the issue.

Delfina had caught Aria once trying to read in the dim Basement, and had deemed it a significant cause for concern. Hufflepuff can't become as blind as moles! What if the house's Quidditch team ruined their eyesight in this room and subsequently suffered in future matches?
A solution was needed, and fast.

The girl even decorated her bed with them, much to Jinx's annoyance. The hufflepuff crept along her dorm entering the common room area. She could smell cookies coming from the kitchens.


"hmmm~<3"

Lumos wasn't cutting it. Delfina had been sitting in the common room for nearly an hour, contemplating whether or not to burn the decorative potpourri on the coffee table for the sake of adding light. At least it would be fragrant.
